Men, your hair are an essential part of your look. They can make you look put up, or messy, or a smart ass genius or a mafia. It all comes to how you style your hair. And this need for styling our hair in a specific way calls for some super awesome hair products. These are the products I think you should invest in or at least explore in the year of 2017.
This specific blog is geared towards our Indian readers, there will be one more soon done for readers all over the world. For now here it goes:
I used Park Avenue’s Beer shampoo, initially I did not like the smell, but then I noticed what it was doing to my hair and eventually I started to like the smell as well(secret: it smells of beer with flowers :p). I have been using a lot of hair products since a long time now, and this means I have to wash my hair often so as to keep them at their best health. If you do not use that many products, you do not need to use a lot of it. However, it is by far one of the best shampoo’s for softness and volume that I have used available in India for a nominal price.
Tre Semme Conditioner. This is something I came across a couple years ago, tried it. It is simply awesome. It does the the job of a conditioner but at the same time its just my hair feel softer and better. :p
I have used 2 main products here over the years. Both are from Schwarzkopf, Professional Taft Power Hair Wax and Osis+ FIbre Texture Gum. These are obviously expensive than other products out in the Indian Market, but they last at least 3 months a pop so totally worth the money, spending about 100 INR on your hair a month is cool enough.
Alright, this is the gladiator of your hair product arsenal. Any other styling product can be skipped, but this is the thing that gives your hair the shape, the style that you want. I recommend using a bit on wet hair, then blow drying your hair according to the style you want and top it of with a pinch more of the product for the touch.
I am not even familiar with any other spray in the Indian market. Gatsby Extreme hold is what I use to top it all off in the end to give it a structure which withstands the beatings of the day. I used to use my motorbike to go to college, which was 21km one side, so I needed something that will make me look good when I reach college and throughout the day. This tops it off.

So each day you get up, plan your outfit. Add the right accessories to take it to the next level. Like a well made suit, we suggest buying good quality accessories. They’ll tend to last longer, which means you’ll be able to mix them around with more of your outfits.
Don’t hold back on spending either, good quality accessories generally last for years if cared for properly. Here are four essentials every Sophisticated Sir should have in his wardrobe.
Whether you’re just running errands on the weekend, wearing jeans, or your about to head into an important client meeting with your best suit, its important you complete the outfit with a good quality belt. For jeans and chino pants, feel free to add some personality to your outfit with a woven belt. These are extremely versatile. For sharper occasions, when a suit is required we suggest sticking to classic leather belts. When we developed our range of men’s leather belts, we decided to have them made in Italy. A good leather belt should last for many years, and so it just made sense to find the best artisans and use fine European leathers. Remember to match the belt color with your shoes.
Leather shoes are a must for any successful Sir. Once again a good pair of well made leather shoes should last for years to come. Shoes with a leather sole will tend to wear out quicker than rubber, but have the ability to be replaced. For your black and grey suits, wear black shoes. For navy and brown suits, we suggesting opting for brown or tan lace up shoes. For client meetings leave the sneakers at home.
In a world we pay with our phones, or tap our cards the wallet may seem redundant. I can assure you its not the case. A good leather wallet says a lot about a person. It says they care just as much about the details as they do their appearance. Like leather shoes and belts, a good wallet is sure to last for years to come. When picking out a wallet, pick something that’s versatile. Something that you won’t be six of in 2 or 3 years.
Bracelets come in so many different forms, and are a great way to add some personality to your outfit. Stick with the safer colors for ultimate versatility and you’ll be able to wear yours each day. Experiment with both beaded bracelets and leather bracelets. Even mix a few together.

This sounds like a basic concept but people don’t realize just how important water really is. In addition, you would not believe how many people are drinking less than 2 glasses of water day. Water is the resource your body needs above all else. A good rule of thumb to follow is to have no less than 8 tall glasses of water a day. However, if you can make it a gallon more power to you. Another rule of thumb to determine how hydrated you are, is to make sure your urine is a “champagne” color.
According to experts, a sedentary person is classified as anyone who has 150 minutes or less of moderate exercise (walking) a week or 75 minutes or less of vigorous exercise (jogging/weightlifting). If you fall in either one of these categories, I’m sorry to tell you but you live a sedentary lifestyle.
Exercise is an imperative part of a healthy lifestyle. It releases nitric oxide into your blood, which improves blood flow and also releases natural anti-inflammatory chemicals throughout the body to eliminate fat and plaque in your blood vessels. A good rule of thumb for exercise is to exercise to the point of sweat.
3. Green Leafy Vegetables
How many of you neglect eating your veggies? Come on, be honest. Well the truth is you’re not even close to being alone. Not many people are avid eaters of the greens, but the reality is I would need a novel to write to you all the benefits of having a diet high in green leafy vegetables.
The chlorophyll in green leafy vegetables reduces carcinogens in the body and folate reduces cancer risk by 60%. The iron improves the quality of your blood and on and on and on. A good rule of thumb to follow is to add 3-5 tennis ball sized servings of vegetables to your daily meals.
I know this is a weird question, but how colorful are your meals? That’s right. The more colorful your plates are (food, not plate design) chances are the healthier they are. Adding blue, red, orange, and yellow colored fruits and vegetables to your diet will dramatically improve your overall health.
From blueberries to apples and bananas to oranges, the more color you can add the better off you’ll be. As a bonus, the quercetin in apples and antioxidants in berries will reduce your risk of cancer by a substantial amount. BONUS TIP: When eating fruits, do your best to eat the skins as this contains fiber that is extremely beneficial to your digestive health and nutrient absorption.
Nuts are one of the healthiest snacks you can possibly have. Instead of snacking on processed granola bars, add nuts to your diet and they will make you feel full and have the added bonus of giving you more energy. In addition, Brazil nuts, highest in selenium, have anti-cancerous properties.
So add almonds, walnuts, or Brazil nuts to your diet to really improve your day-to-day health. BONUS TIP: Combine nuts with chia or flax seeds to create complete proteins for your diet and give you a health boost.
6. Eat Breakfast
I know it’s cliché to say “breakfast is the most important meal of the day” but there is truth to these words. You need to fuel your body to get it ready for the day or you’re going to be tired for the entire day no matter how many coffees you drink.
When you wake up from sleeping all night, your body is craving nutrients and it is your job to get those nutrients into your body. Also, eating breakfast is an integral part of any diet weight loss diet because it starts your metabolism for the day.
After a long day of saving the world your body is worn down. It is of the upmost importance to get adequate sleep. There are numerous studies detailing the beneficial effects of good night’s sleep.
From repairing damaged muscles after exercise to aiding in weight loss to improving brain function, sleep is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle. Although, I know it’s hard, shoot for 7-8 hours of sleep when you can.
